My journey into medicine didn’t begin at university; it began in a conversation with my grandmother.

She told me to grow up and become a doctor so she does not have to stand in that long queue anymore, and somehow she believed I could. In me she planted a dream long before I understood what it meant to become a doctor. That dream grew into a calling that has taken me from the consulting room to the boardroom, from caring for individual patients to building healthcare systems that serve entire communities.

Today, as the founder and CEO of Quadcare, I’ve had the privilege of growing a network of 14 primary healthcare clinics across South Africa. Every clinic represents the same promise I made to myself years ago: that quality healthcare should never depend on your skin color, your income, or who you are. My work has evolved beyond treating illness; it’s about building healthier communities, developing future healthcare leaders, and creating organizations where compassion and excellence can exist side by side.
